We have been members of this church for 27 years and have served on the coffee team for 23 of those years! We surprise ourselves that after 45 years of marriage, we can still work together! We love to accommodate those that need their cup of coffee first thing in the morning! Our reward is seeing the happiness our service brings to others.
We want visitors to feel welcome, and we anticipate lots of new faces each week. First Impressions count for a lot, and a couple of well-scrubbed, seasoned, smiling faces can make a big difference. It’s a fun and easy way to serve the Lord at Chase Oaks. Try it, you will like it…serving the Lord and drinking Starbucks’ simultaneously…its a great way to start the week! (more…)
We have been involved in the Coffee Team serving coffee since the late 1980’s. We have served as Leaders for much of that time. Both Sharon and I feel that this is a simple way to serve the church community. It is very rewarding to hear the gratitude and feel the love of the people who love their morning coffee. It also gives us a chance to fellowship with the newcomers and the regular church attendees. We are certain that our Coffee Bar has made a huge difference with those who are checking out our church and also with our younger attendees. It is a great way for those who would like to be of service at our church to jump in and serve in a way that doesn’t take a lot of time or preparation!
I strive to serve because I know it makes a difference not only in my walk with God, but also makes a difference in others. I see that it gives hope to others who are looking for the love of God through His bond servants. Serving was the best step I could have ever taken to see that I am loved by God and to show the love of God through my actions. (more…)
“I love getting to greet, welcome, and smile at everyone, bright and early in the morning, knowing it’s probably everyone’s first greeting of the day. Just welcoming someone who has maybe been a member of Chase Oaks for years or visiting for the first time, just starts the whole service out on a happy note.” (more…)
